Hampi : Well acted and directed movie, a good attempt to explore the beauty of Hampi and life but...
Hampi Movie Review Rating: 2.5/5 Stars (Two and a Half stars)
Star Cast: Sonalee Kulkarni, Lalit Prabhakar, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Prajakta Mali & Chhaya Kadam.
The best thing about Hampi is its production design. Prakash Kunte was careful about the stylistic detailing in his previous films Coffee Ani Barach Kahi as well as & Jara Hatke, and Hampi is no different.
The visual aesthetic and character design are pitch perfect, and the film feels fresh. But, from the narrative point of view, nothing really happens.
Hampi has no story and is entirely based on the shifting relationship between two characters, being conveyed to us through a series of conversations. As far as the genre is concerned, it lies somewhere between a rom-com and a travel film and reminds us of films like Before Sunrise or Mumbai Pune Mumbai.

The type that places the characters in popular locales, and the resulting interplay between the characters and the setting they react to, take the film forward. Except, in Hampi, it is all too vague.
